Seasoned Health and Therapy Experts You Can Rely On
Jacquie McAdam MPT - Owner/ Physical Therapist
Jacquie graduated from the University of MT Physical Therapy School in 2001. She has practiced outpatient physical therapy throughout her career with a focus on sport and orthopedic physical therapy. She has greatly enjoyed serving the good people of Butte since 2005. She and her family live in Butte where she plans to continue assisting the people of southwest Montana in returning to the activities they love. Jacquie was certified in trigger point dry needling in 2018. Trigger point dry needling can be an effective tool to reduce painful knots and tight banding in muscles that have been resistant to other treatments. Jacquie trained in the Gunn method, which treats the neural level associated with the painful muscle to provide optimal relief. Additionally, Jacquie is certified in LSVT-BIG. This program is designed to assist patients with Parkinson’s disease in improving their movement in daily life. People with this disease often walk with small and shuffling steps. LSVT-BIG also helps to restore normal walking patterns. More information on this program can be found below. In addition to her certifications, Jacquie has worked with hundreds of orthopedic post-operative patients, so she has a strong background in rehabilitation following joint replacement surgeries, spinal fusions, and soft tissue repair including the rotator cuff.
"I grew up with a mom who was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 24. By age 30, she had undergone total joint arthroplasty on both hips and both knees. I watched her go through revisions of those original surgeries. I saw firsthand what physical therapy can do." – Jacquie McAdam, "Striking Gold in Copper City," PT in Motion, June 2015
